Reborns

I have recently decided to try my hand at reborning. This artform is very complex, and involves turning a blank vinyl artist doll kit into a collectable and very realistic baby doll.
The blank vinyl is painted in many very thin layers with various specialist techniques to produce a very realictic skin tone, complete with delicate veins, mottling of the skin and birth marks. Each tiny detail is applied with the utmost precision, each hair is micro rooted into the head with a very fine needle, in the natural direction of growth to produce a realistic head of hair. The hair is sealed from the inside to make it a permanent fixture. Softest angora mohair is used which can be brushed and styled just like a real babies.
The body, head and limbs are weighted to give a realistic body weight.
Due to my many other commitments I will only be producing reborns very occasionally.

~Sara ~

Sara had been reborned from the lovely Angelique sculpt by Regina Swialkowski. She is 21" long and weighs 4ib 15oz. Her skin tone has been built up using many layers of genesis heat set paints to give a realistic apearance, she has mottling and subtle veining and shading. Sara has the most beautiful grey/blue glass eyes, they are so deep and mesmerising. Her eyes are framed by the wispyest eyelashes and she has delicately painted eyebrows. Her lips are lightly glossed to give a moist appearance, her toe and fingernails are also painted and tipped with a gloss finish.

Sara's hair is micro rooted using a 43g german barbless needle for individually rooted hairs, there are no unsightly plugs or clumps. Her hair is high quality angora mohair in a light brown shade, which has been styled and finished off with a pretty red bow.

Sara's limbs are weighted with steel shot and glass micro granules, then sealed for safety. Her head is also weighted with steel shot to give her a realistic baby weight.

Sara looks beautiful in her red velvet dress and matching bolero, she would make a lovely addition to your reborn collection.

~ Jessica ~

This gorgeous baby was newborned from the kit 'Daphne' by the very talented Elly Knoops. She is made of very soft vinyl that feels just like real skin to touch.

Jessica's hair is micro rooted, a very painstaking and time consuming process!
it can be gently styled.

Jessica's skin had the mottled appearance of real baby skin, complete with delicate veins.

Every little detail has been recreated. Her eyes are glass and beautifully deep. She has wispy eyelashes just like a real baby.

Jessica's limbs are weighted with glass micro beads and poly fill. her head and body and weighted with steel shot enclosed in cotton bags, and softest fibre fill. She weighs 5 ib 7 oz and measures 20"

Jessica is £225 including postage, payable in installments if preferred. She will come with all the outfits she is wearing in the pictures. She will be packed in a quality doll box with plenty of protective wrapping, and will come with all of the clothes pictured here, her birth certificate and certificate of authenticity and a care sheet.
